Entwicklung des Prototyp Ford Capri I.
Nach der Marktforschung 1966 wurde die Form erneut verfeinert.
Die Testingenieure von Ford verkleideten einen der Prototypen,
indem sie ein C-förmiges hinteres Seitenglas aufnahmen
Die seitlichen Heckfenster wurden erst kurz vor dem Produktionsstart
zu der rundlichen heute bekannten C-Form verändert.
1967 immer noch als favorisierter Name Colt Prototyp.
Man beachte die flachere Motorhaube und Frontflügel-Linie,
sowie die unterschiedlichen Kühlergrill- und Heckscheibenkonfigurationen.

Development of the Ford Capri I prototype.
Following a market study in 1966, the design was revised once again.
Ford's test engineers fitted one of the prototypes
with a C-shaped rear side window.
Shortly before production began, the rear side windows were changed
to the rounded C-shape we know today.
In 1967, the name ‘Colt Prototype’ was still the favourite.
Note the flatter bonnet and the line of the front wings,
as well as the different configurations of the radiator grille and rear window.
