Die Karriere von Jürg Dubler beginnt 1960
auf dem Flugplatz Dübendorf
im VW Käfer seiner Mutter.
Später fährt er Volvo, dann Lotus-20-Einsitzer
und schliesst die Schweizer Meisterschaft
hinter Périat und Vögele auf dem dritten Platz ab.
Dubler beginnt selbst Autos zu bauen, mit gutem Erfolg.
1966 startet er seine Karriere als Profifahrer
auf Brabham BT15 Formel 3 und erreicht mit seinem attraktiven Fahrstil
in Osteuropa einen eigentlichen Kultstatus.
Weitere Erfolge stellen sich ein,
doch den Schritt in die Formel 1 schafft er nicht.
Als er 1971 Zeuge des tödlichen Unfalls von Jo Siffert
in Brands Hatch wird, ist er tief betroffen.
Auch nach seinem Rücktritt
bleibt er lange dem Rennsport verbunden,
als Reporter fürs Schweizer Fernsehen
und als Organisator von Rennshows.

Jürg Dubler's career began in 1960
at Dübendorf airfield in his mother's VW Beetle
He later drove a Volvo, then a Lotus 20 single-seater
and finished the Swiss championship in third place
